Winter Solstice Reflection
Honoring the Quiet, Welcoming the Light.
This winter solstice, I created a small ritual on my flower grid.
A simple arrangement. Crystals. A candle. Stillness.
It was an intentional pause to welcome the returning light, while honoring the wisdom found in the dark.
At the center, clear quartz held the frequency of new beginnings. It amplified intention gently, without force. The candle beside it emphasized the energy moving outward, offering warmth, presence, and focus.
At the base of the grid, black tourmaline absorbed any dense or lingering energy in the space. It supported nervous system regulation, grounding both me and anyone receiving this energy. With reiki, energy doesn’t just move outward, it can also be felt right here, right now.
Moonstone sat nearby, honoring the sacred darkness. It reminded me that darkness isn’t something to fear, but something that carries wisdom. It supports emotional balance and intuitive knowing. These qualities already exist within us. The crystals simply help us remember.
And then there was citrine, holding the energy of returning sunlight. A soft lift in mood. Gentle optimism. Not rushed. Not forced. Just present.
The Solstice Affirmation
This was the affirmation that emerged from the ritual:
I honor the quiet.
I honor the light gently, in perfect timing.
May everything meant for me come with ease.
I release all that no longer serves me.
The winter solstice feels like a threshold.
A moment where we are invited to acknowledge what no longer serves us and let it go without resistance.
Not pushing it away.
Not judging it.
Simply releasing it into space and time.
Honoring the Lineage Within You
Placing your hands on your heart, take a moment to acknowledge those who came before you.
Your ancestors.
Your lineage.
The paths they walked so you could be here now.
There is emotional closure in honoring that history. Gratitude doesn’t erase the past, but it softens it. It allows wisdom to remain while letting the weight fall away.
A Message for the Nervous System
Allow your nervous system to know that it deserves rest.
That safety doesn’t have to be earned.
That breathing can be intentional, nourishing, and supportive.
Let your breath move with awareness.
With gentleness.
With care.
Receive without effort.
Let intentions arrive naturally, without force or urgency.
Closing Mantra
I release old cycles with gratitude.
I welcome the returning light slowly, surely, and in perfect timing.
